The annual air show

21th and 22nd August 2004

Museum - Tarmac - Air show - Lancaster - Red Arrows

This page was updated on 06 October 2004, with the help of Jocelyn Leclercq and Frederic Besnard
by the use of "Aerostories.org" Web Site from Philippe Ballarini - Many thanks to them.
Note from Paul:
- This part concerning the Elvington 2004 airshow contains 123 pictures !!! The average size is 60 ko.
So it is better to have ADSL for loading because total memory is about 5 Mo for the 123 pictures.
- Original pictures are from Sony digital camera at 3.2 Mo pixels (for 20%) and the rest was taken with two Pentax camera.
One with 35 mm / 135 mm lens and the other with 80 mm / 300 mm lens with 200 ASA films
- All Pentax pictures were digitalized at 300 DPI (6.5 Mo each, TIF format, transfered to 300 ko JPG format at 15% compression) and then, definition was reduced for the Web site at 35%
- I hope you will enjoyed this report as we did with my son Frederic, and a friend Philippe with his two young boys.
- The weather was always changing rapidly, from sunshine to clouds and rain for 15 mn two times, and back to sunshine.
- The show started at 1.30 PM and ended at 5 PM, where we found the bar...a pure hasard!!!
- Visitors were estimated to be between 3000 and 4000, a great saturday.
